Radio Index project has been in place since 2000 and it measures radio stations’ audience size, studies and analyses traits and preferences of Russia's radio audience. The project covers a whole population of Russia, representing people aged 12 and older. Annually, more than 150,000 interviews are carried out. Data is collected with phone interviews (calls on landline and mobile phones) and online questionnaires. The Day-After-Recall method, where respondents recall their radio listening from the day before is used. Users of the project have information on the audience size and traits, location, duration of listening to a radio station and a number of other indicators. Data collected by the Radio Index helps radio stations understand how advertisers place adverts. Advertising agencies need the data to do effective media planning, and advertisers need it to analyse audience composition in order to place their commercials.
