Angelo Codignoni, the Chairman of the board of directors of Mediascope, passes away

We are sorry to inform you that Angelo Codignoni, the Chairman of the board of directors of Mediascope, has suddenly passed away at the age of 73.

With Angelo Mediascope has lost not only a leader, but a true friend, like-minded person and colleague. Angelo has served as Сhairman of the board of directors of Mediascope since 2016.

Throughout his professional life, Angelo has been a profound media executive, CEO of Europe's largest sports TV channel and a member of the board of directors of many distinguished companies.

Angelo was born in Italy on August 31, 1947. He graduated from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan with a degree in economics. For over 30 years he has worked in the field of television, media and advertising, had experience in creating and managing television networks in Europe and Asia.

From 1996 to 2006 he was President and CEO of EUROSPORT SA - the largest European sports channel.

For his impressive work and popularization of Olympic sports, Angelo was awarded the Olympic Order of the International Olympic Committee for special services to the Olympic Movement.

Angelo was a man endlessly and to the end devoted to his life's work.

We will sorely miss his talent, professionalism and wisdom.
