Research company Mediascope acquires a controlling stake in MediaHills (JSC MEDIA HILLS) – a provider of solutions for collecting and processing technological data collected in the networks of telecom operators. The parties agreed on the deal, it will be accomplished by the end of the year.

Since 2016, MediaHills has been supplying Pay TV viewing data in Russia and Kazakhstan. The company analyzes data collected through the Return-Path-Data (RPD) set-top boxes of telecom operators. MediaHills also develops recommendation systems and consulting solutions for Pay TV operators.

Mediascope’s TV measurements are based on the panel data, which is considered as the “market currency” and gives the knowledge of ​​the audience, socio-demographic profile of the viewers, their preferences and other important parameters of TV viewing. Mediascope’s goal is to measure the entire diversity of a person’s media consumption using various data sources and approaches.
