The research company Mediascope will acquire a controlling stake in Cifrasoft LLC, a Russian provider of technologies and solutions for research in the digital environment and cross-media measurements. The parties made a deal. Following its completion, Mediascope will become a majority owner of the company.
The deal is contingent on Mediascope’s strategic tasks, the most important of them being further development of cross-media measurements, creation of innovative products for media advertising market and expansion of client service. The company is actively investing in amplification of its own technological capabilities. At the same time, Mediascope is interested in developing its own solutions for media research, as well as in partnership with other developers of technology for analysis of media and advertising audience and consumer behavior.
Since 2008, Cifrasoft has been developing solutions for media measurements. The company has technology for tracking user behavior on the Internet, including on mobile devices, and analyzing consumption of content and advertising in digital and non-digital environments. Cifrasoft also develops audio watermarking and audio fingerprinting technologies. Audio watermarking technology, in particular, allows you to measure the audience of professional content and advertising in all environments using audio tags embedded in the content. Audio tags are recognized using special software and applications installed on respondents' devices - smartphones, tablets, desktop computers, laptops and smart watches.
